Sung Jinwoo goes through the Demon Castle to defeat the boss. But, unexpectedly, he’s not alone. Esil, a member of a minor demon clan is helping him navigate the dungeon in exchange of him sparing her clan. At this point of the story, it’s not much of a spoiler to tell Sung Jinwoo is succesful in both his tasks: defeating the boss and obtaining the cure for his mother.
While he was in the dungeon, Korean and Japanese hunters team up to defeat the giant ants on Jeju island. Only the strongest are accepted. But Sung Jinwoo decides not to join. He wants to spend more time with his newly awaken mother. He’s scorned for the decision, but it doesn’t change his mind.
The campaign on the island starts well. But the volume ends before we learn how it ends. Will the hunters handle things or would they have needed Sung Jinwoo after all? And if he ends up going later, will he be hated for not joining before people got killed? Reading on to find out.
This was a good volume, but the battles got a bit boring, hence only four stars.
