The Masked City (The Invisible Library, #2)

I almost didn't read this one after reading the first one because the first had a lot of violence, use of curse words and was pretty dark and I was worried that this one would be worse but I'm so glad I read it. Definitely less dark overall than the first one with way less violence and less intense in that aspect (most violence is a knife stabbing scene). It was also way better than the first book as far as entertainment as well. Way better written imo, less confusion and way more clear than the first (I was pretty confused often in the first book) and read it shamefully fast 😳
The good: less violent, dark and intense than the first. Better writing with a good yet unpredictable plot, so much fun!
The bad: some curse words including a few uses of D*** it/them ect. And one or two uses of B**** otherwise pretty wholesome overall.
Overall, liked this book and will read the next one. 4 stars
