really liked it
bookshelves: age-adult, no-romance, theme-spooky-or-bleak, non-lgbt, non-lgbt-comic, non-lgbt-horror

This was a really witty spin on serial killer animals in a previously calm small town. Think Dexter meets Wind in The Willows.

It’s one of the more intriguing horrors I’ve read in a while. This is pretty gruesome which is a stark contradiction to the cozy animal town the author sets it in. If you want something utterly peculiar this is likely for you.

The art style is also really beautiful and at times does feel like the older animals children’s picture novels which does lend to the absurdity of the story more.

A really solid read.

TWs listed below, please skip if you don’t want vague spoilers.

TW// drugging, murder, a lot of gore, mutilation (animal), animal harm, bodies, guns, knives, dismemberment, beheading, blood, serial killers.
