This was my best book of 2024. It’s not for everyone. It’s not “plot driven, which I guess means nothing really happens. It’s not about that. It’s about the writing, and the way it makes you (and your problems) seem utterly minuscule. We are but a blip in the galaxy, within this timeline known as all human history. It made me feel like all the chaos in the world is really nothing but a distraction from that which really matters, our friends and family and the beauty of the world. I just loved it.
Again, not for everyone. But if you love just immersing yourself in beautiful descriptions, this is a great short book to just meditate with.
