I don't typically read self-improvement drivel - it bores me to tears and drives me crazy that people (more cunning than me) are able to package this excrement between shiny covers and make enough cabbage to buy that nice cabin on the ski mountain... Anyway, not sure what drove me to buy this particular book at the airport one day, but picked it up on the way home from Burbank one week and loved almost every page. The key here is that you have to adjust your expectations and go into it know what you're getting. For me, it's inspirational, sort of the like the chest-pounding cheerfest that car salesmen go through each morning. But this one's different in that it admits what it is - it doesn't try to be anything it's not, and I respect that. And Sharma's got some pretty salient wisdom sprinkled throughout, kept real by his common life trials and circumstances. I actually carry this one in my laptop bag every day.
