I give Cheryl all the credit in the world for taking on a feat that I certainly never could’ve embarked on. The book captured all of the twists and turns Strayed’s journey had, almost metaphorical to the PCT.
That said, while the retelling of her journey did not lack substance, it did lack depth, IMHO.
A quick & captivating read no doubt, but a reader shouldn’t finish a book still asking “So what?� if a story has done its job.
