This was ok to me.

Renzo and Maddie were cute together but I didn’t feel a really deep connection. They talked about some serious things but it was otherwise very fast.

I also feel like there wasn’t a plot, or at least nothing I cared that much about? The “war�� is going to be continued in the next book which made me feel more like this story didn’t stand that well on its own.

For some positives I liked Maddie coming out of her shell a bit and Renzo’s connection to his family.
