A story of a family immigrating from the Dominican Republic to New York City starting in the 60's. Each of the four Garcia girls tells their story of growing up in America. This will make you laugh, cry and fall in love with each girl. So beautifully written! I will have the chance to see Julia Alvarez in May and cannot wait to meet her.
