it was amazing

I finally pulled this off my to read shelf. This story was not what I was expecting. Not sure what I expected. I could not put this book down and read it in one day. Sam Hill is born with ocular albinism in which his eyes are red. From the day he was born his mother, a devout Catholic, stands by his side to protect and encourage him through out his life. He withstands bullying and ridicule with his 2 best friends standing by. This made me cry at many points in the book. It is so heartfelt. A story of faith, love, compassion and perseverance. Sam will be with me for a long time.
