This was a real page turner! Actually, it was the audio version so naturally 1.7x!
I love Charlotte’s writing. Her characters are so compelling and interesting. And tortured. This book had a great many twists and the ending kind of upset me. No spoilers but I was sort of sad because it was not what I wanted to happen.
I agree with the BookClub Babes conclusion that the author sprinkles in incredible information and beautiful prose about serious environmental issues that engages is as readers! Like reading a scientific paper about the plight of the albatross may not get us to care in the same way.
And the descriptions of the wild and crazy seed pods had my visual imagination working overtime! I need to relisten and get sketching!
