Wow! What a brave story to tell, from the insides of Facebook. Of uncaring executives who sexually harrows their subordinates, leaves presidents waiting and care more about user engagement than algorithm triggered genocide.

The author is forced to work during maternity leave after suffering life threatening complications and is then forced to travel to India, despite risking hemorrhaging. Plus she gets a bad performance review for having been distant and hard to reach while she was away - and while she was in a coma. That’s how much Facebook cares about people. It’s horrendous to think that a company which such deep rooted misogyny scratches its DEI programs, although honestly, the company has bigger problems.

In a fit of fury at the ass kissing after the latest American election fiasco, I have basically stopped using FB. I’m still on it, but I refuse to engage, which is how they make money. Besides, clearly spreading lies on social media helped Trump win, again. Facts hold no power anymore, much thanks to Facebook.

Anyway, the book is well written, engaged and deeply personal. I highly recommend it!
