Bought this book for my niece. She’s not a big poetry lover. Decided to read it before giving it to her. I LOVED IT! Brought back memories of teaching poetry to 8th grade boys and girls. I used some of the poetry in the back of the book, which should be read first, as another reviewer recommended.

The young man writing the entries from the start of school to the end of the school year reminded me of my boys. His poetry about his dog Sky will be in my heart long after reading this book & writing this review. “I love that dog.��
