Enchantra (Wicked Games, #2)

Two truths and a lie
Kaylie Smith has changed my reading life.
I’m not a fan of lip rings, but I want to be.
This book was even better (if that’s possible) than Phantasma.
Genevieve Grimm’s life has always revolved around her sister, Ophelia, learning the family’s magic. She’s felt left out and lacking a place in the world. So, when she receives an invitation to Enchantra she can’t resist the opportunity to find answers.
Enchantra is a cursed palace filled with temptation and illusions at every turn. It’s also the place where Rowin Silver’s family has been trapped forever in a deadly game of hide and seek. And now that Genevieve has entered the game, could she be the key to releasing his family for good?
This interconnected standalone has the same dangerous game elements that played out in Phantasma, but there were enough differences that you don’t feel like you’re reading the same story over again. The Silver family was delightful, and the banter between Rowin and Genevieve was perfection. The way their connection built through each hunt was masterful. And the ending was soo good!
To say I devoured this book is an understatement. This is the second book in the Wicked Games series, and all I have to say is there better be more because I have never felt so immersed in a book in all my life. This is what it is truly like to read an all-in, immersive escape from the world and I am so thankful I gave Phantasma a try because, otherwise, I wouldn’t have had this enchanting experience.
Thank you to Kaylie Smith, Second Sky/Forever, and NetGalley for a gifted digital copy of the book for an honest review.
