The Girlfriend Zone (Love and Hockey, #4)

Such a sweet read! Leighton and Miles have an adorable meet cute and a great first date until they discover that he works for her father.
They spend a year fighting things, being friends, and getting to know each other. I enjoyed the build up, the way they built a foundation that was there when the tension finally got to be too much and they combusted together.
My only complaint was that some of the tension building went a little too long - there were too many “I feel guilty moments before they went public in the worst way.
This is a connected stand alone and reading in order will add to the enjoyment, but it’s not necessary. Reading the other books helps understand who the secondary characters are, but Miles and Leighton are both basically new here.
