🎶 Say you can't sleep, baby, I know. That's that me espresso 🎶

Daisy (h) is a responsible, stable, and safe kind of girl, with a clear idea of the type of guy she’s into—the good guy. She’s content with her predictable, structured life, but when Jordan (H), a tattooed, beer-drinking, quick-witted hockey player, asks her to tutor him, her world is turned upside down.

─── 。゚: THOUGHTS*. .*:☆゚. ───

It was definitely a pretty generic, repeated cliché story, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing, I just didn’t really vibe with it. Just keep in mind this is my opinion, so if you loved it, that’s totally fine! I just didn’t, and that’s okay too. Don’t take it to heart.

“She wanted you. You two make sense. Me and her… I shake my head side to side. “I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. Daisy is so well, you know. And I’m, well…

Jordan was all in when it came to making his move on Daisy, determined to make sure Liam had no shot with her. Honestly, he was so committed to it, and it was refreshing to see how genuine and real he was about it. Daisy, on the other hand, definitely judged Jordan at first. She had this preconceived notion of him that made her keep her distance, but once she started tutoring him, everything started to shift. As they spent more time together, Daisy began to see a different side of Jordan—one that was kind, funny, and honestly a perfect match for her. She started enjoying his presence more and more, and it was like the walls she had built up around him began to break down. On the flip side, she had built this idea of Liam in her head for so long, thinking he was the one for her. But when she actually got the chance to talk to him, she quickly realized she wasn’t as drawn to him as she thought she’d be. The connection just wasn’t there like she imagined it, and suddenly, Jordan started to seem like the right choice all along.

“Her face was flushed, and her voice was trembling. She was nervous.

“And you look so excited about that because? Cole asks.

“That’s how she used to look at him.

“She likes me, I explain. “She still likes me.

The third act breakup honestly, it was so dumb and unnecessary. Like, girl, you didn’t even want Liam anymore, so why does it matter if Jordan sabotaged your chances with him? It really gave me a headache because it felt so forced. I honestly didn’t get why she was acting like this when the whole time, she was over Liam. It made no sense. Seriously though, Jordan & Daisy barely had any real connection beyond the fact that they thought each other were hot. Jordan sees her in a red dress, and it’s like, boom, he’s obsessed with her. He can’t stop thinking about her after that, which is fine, but it felt like they were both falling way too hard, way too fast for no real reason. Daisy probably liked being around the popular crowd, and it didn’t feel like there was much more to it than that.

─── 。゚: OVERALL*. .*:☆゚. ───

Honestly, I was just really disappointed. I didn’t know much about Jordan besides the fact that he plays hockey, and his home life? Never even touched on. Daisy had a pretty rough home life too, and that was just ignored. It felt like there was so much potential for deeper stuff, but it just never went there. The whole thing felt bland, and I ended up wishing for more.
