CN. Comical Fantasy Body Horror, Abusive Family

These days I am a bit picky when it comes to fantasy and so much more so when it's comedic fantasy...but I absolutely adored this!

This is another book I've seen on the Queer Liberation Library shelves on Libby whose title and cover never really grabbed me, but I am over the moon that I finally picked it up because this is one of the best books I've read this year, if not the best of the not completely heavy and heartbreaking books I've read.

It's comic fantasy that's very aware of itself, the tropes, and the issues of the genre, which it absolutely leans in and out of, avoids, subverts and smashes with aplomb.

It's a body and gender positive sapphic monster romp that everyone (save for the 'go woke, go broke [have no taste]' crowd)

I laughed, I almost burst into tears at the end. I absolutely loved it!
