Gwen (Omegas Through Time #3)

Oh wow. I have never read something like this book. I have to be honest and say that the one genre that I do not read is historical fiction. But that’s not what this is. First, this is a time travel story, which I can definitely get behind. Second, it is a new take on the King Arthur story. Ever since I was a kid and watched The Sword in the Stone, I have always been fascinated by the Arthur story. And lastly, it is an omegaverse, and that always makes everything better. The concept was so interesting, the fact that Arthur and some of his knights were a pack and Guinevere was their omega, an omega from a different time. I was absolutely hooked from the start. I didn’t realize that this was the third book in the series and now I need to go back and read the others because this was such a good book. It was one that I would walk around reading because I couldn’t put it down. The way the author wrote these characters and the way that she created this universe, it just had me and didn’t let go until the end.
Gwen was so much fun as the time traveling omega. I love the thought of a sassy, opinionated woman from present time is thrown back to a time of kings and queens. When she first encounters Arthur and everyone is flabbergasted that she says exactly what she thinks to the king’s face, I couldn’t help but laugh. And I 100% agree with her that the first thing I would think of after getting sent back in the past is that there is no indoor plumbing. I thought that it was perfect to have Arthur and his three knights as alphas in a pack together. Like any good omegaverse, they each brought something different to the table. Arthur was the strong dominant alpha. Lancelot was the brooding but fiercely loyal alpha. Gawain was the young alpha that was totally there for his omega. And Bedivere was the older, calmer, wiser alpha. The each made for a fantastic pack.
I really enjoyed reading this story. It was something so unique and entertaining that it grabbed my attention. There was spice like any omegaverse, and I absolutely fell in love with this pack. It was such a fun story and even though it is a little longer, it flowed so nicely. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who likes OVs.
