Whispers in the Kalahari is book one in the new series by B. G. Nettelton called Wings Over Africa. In 1974, a group of friends were on a safari in Central Kalahari when one of their friends, Mike Jensen, died in suspicious circumstances. Fifteen years later, Mike's sister Susan wants answers about his death and sets up an event that would not only involve her family but also her cousin James and his wife Verity as well. Will Susan find closure regarding her brother's death, or will it destroy James and Verity's new life in Africa? The readers of Whispers in the Kalahari will continue to follow Susan and James to discover what happens.
A friend recommended Whispers in the Kalahari, and I was so pleased she did. What a fantastic book to read. I was captured from the first page by how B. G. Nettleton describes the beautiful African countryside, which ensured that I engaged with the characters and the story. I love how B. G. Nettleton intertwines the beautiful African wildlife throughout the plot of this book. I also enjoyed B. G. Nettleton's description of living in Africa and Australia and how she added some of the significant events of the time into the plot of this book. B. G. Nettleton did an excellent job of bringing the two stories together and the conclusion of both at the end, allowing the reader to journey with the characters. I love B. G. Nettelton's portrayal of her characters and how they intertwine with each other. Whispers in the Kalahari is well-written and researched by B. G. Nettleton.
I recommend this book.
