Leave Only Footprints: My Acadia-to-Zion Journey Through Every National Park

I enjoy reading people's accounts of visiting U.S. national parks since a hopeful goal of mine is to one day visit every park myself. Visiting all of the parks in one calendar year is an especially ambitious venture, so I was curious to see what Conor Knighton's plan was for trekking all over the country, plus flying all the way out to American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
When he discusses what he specifically did in the national parks, it was interesting. However, there were quite a few that he just gave historical background context for and never talked about his personal experience there. And while I do find the good-to-know facts about the parks interesting, I mostly want to hear about a person's own itinerary for what they saw during their stay, what they liked, etc. So I just wish this book was a bit more narrative and not so much expository.
