it was amazing

It had been a long time since I got caught up like this in one's story. I read this book rather slowly actually, but i really enjoyed it. When I started it I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I'm still wondering how good of an idea it was.

I can see why people wouldn't like the book but I found it, personally, really beautiful. I really liked the narration. I was attached to all the characters, Hans and Rosa, Max (I was really happy to see he had survived), Rudy and his family, all of them, which made the end really ugly and brutal, though not that unexpected. I cried the moment death announced the sentence until the end (and I am still emotional about it, which is why I wonder if it was such a good idea). The words really got to me, and it had really been a long time since I cried over a book.

This book was really worth my time and I would advised it to anyone, if of course you have no problem with not really happy ending.

"I have hated words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right."
