Reading for the 2nd time. Most recently started July 30, 2022.
This was another okay NA contemporary romance, but again, there were parts that really irritated me.
What I liked:
*The female lead wasn’t a virgin! Hurrah! There have been far too many naïve virgins in this series.
What I didn’t like:
* What sort of a sloppy kidnapper doesn’t notice that their victim has stolen their phone from them?
* What sort of a sloppy kidnapper doesn’t care when he eventually realises said phone is missing?
* What sort of person rescues someone who’s been kidnapped and nearly been raped, and starts kissing them without their permission?
* ‘I found myself wondering what he looked like in a uniform'
really? You’ve been kidnapped, you nearly got raped, and now you're getting shot at, and you're wondering what your rescuer looks like in a uniform? Really?
* The male lead referring to his testicles as ‘the boys�. No. Just no.
So yes, there was more I disliked than I liked. Boo.
