I did try with this book-really, I even persevered till I was 66% done but wasn't enjoying it or really understanding what it was really meant to be about and when it gets to the point where you just don't look forward to switching your Kindle back on it's time to call it a day, I reckon.
I had read the Amazon synopsis but then the book I held in my hands didn't appear to be what I'd thought it was. It's supposed to be the first book in the DD Warren series and we didn't even meet her till just over a third of the way in !!
I gave up when we have Catherine and Bobby at her house discussing her father-in-law and then all of a sudden she's coming on to him. Right out of the blue. I just rolled my eyes and gave up then. All very silly, I thought.
I didn't really like or care enough about any of the characters I was reading about to persevere. However, there were very few mistakes-I only spotted one dropped set of speechmarks and a missing hyphen in all the pages I read which was impressive.
