really liked it

Laini Taylor is an evil genius. The Smoke and Bone trilogy was amazing. The writing was fantastical and the story was so unique that nothing could come close to this series. Taylor built worlds upon worlds and everything was so intricately woven. Plots and twists and everything was woven together so magically and I have no idea how she did it.

This series always kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next, because I had no idea, and praying for the best outcome. I loved the characters and I was so invested in them and anyone who has every read any of the books in the series would tell you, that
1. You hope the best for Karou and Akiva.
2. You want friends like Zuzana and Mik.
3. Ziri has the most loveable soul ever.

Dreams of Gods and Monsters did not disappoint, the plot was unpredictable and new character appears and you will of course, love her. There is action and war planning, fighting, backstory, origin story, and tension and most of all a love that can be so deeply felt. I love this book and the only criticism I have to say is that it didn't end as I had wished. It could have gone a lot worse than it did, but it didn't give me that peace I was looking for. The ending was beautiful but nowhere near perfect and it left a lot of questions that I know won't be answered.

The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy was a fantastic read and I will miss the characters in this book.
