I'm not going to rate this book because I could not finish it and I am not sure if I would have gotten further in the book it would have picked up.. So I am not going to give it a low rating. I am just going to say why I couldn't finish it and what I didn't like.
I got about half way through the book and just could not read anymore. To me the character of Bod was not realistic at all. Towards the beginning of the book he is 6-years-old and him and another girl go off to search a cave. I also had a really hard time dealing with the way Bod talked. He talked like he was 16 instead of 6. I also think that Neal Gaiman could have made Bod a little older than what he did. To me that just was not the way I would see a 6-year-old. Especially one that was raised by ghosts in a cemetery.
I just could not finish it.
