Markus Zusak is one of my all time favorite writers. I read "I Am The Messenger" a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. My daughter has been pushing me to read "The Book Thief" for about the same period of time. It's one of her all time favorite books and I have to say that now it is also one of mine. Zusak is an amazing writer and his ability to so vividly illustrate the tragedies of World War II and the Holocaust through the description of ordinary people and daily lives is just incredible. I've read many books about the Holocaust but this one is by far the very best. I highly recommend this book and any book written by Markus Zusak.

"I Am The Messenger" is my all-time fav <3 !! So glad you loved this one too Susan! The best WWII by far for me too, absolutely. Great review!
