Great story but the writing was a bit poor by Sanderson's standards, I have to rate accordingly, I feel I am a bit too generous.
I really enjoyed the world of Elantris and can see that most of the planning was put behind the world and Raoden. Political affairs in Kae as well as Sarene's somewhat annoying pov was a bit long and tedious. Those were the chapters I decided to skim and skip through.
So many things could have been left unsaid, cliché and spoon-feeding could have killed me near the end. The epilogue was an hilarious attent to close a list of loose end.
All in all, I think this would be an amazing candidate for movie inspiration, very simplistic and I think it would be so easy to translate to the big screen. As a novel it was a bit too long to be considered a GOODread, but hey, I will cut the guy some slack. This one he chewed and swallowed really fast. B for Effort.

"who know what became of the elantrians... its a mystery. I cant wait to see what happens. is this this book that him did basically overnight. amazing story thus far. but I'll wait to see if it slows up and gets dreary"

"amazing stuff, I jumped ahead in Elantris for a while because I doubted iwould enjoy anything in Kae. eventually I backtracked, and omg Sarene is so funny I did lol a couple times. I really love the girl. love how the book progresses thus far, cut cut, simple and interesting"
