I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

From what I understand, this is Wade's debut novel and I really think she did a damn good job. This is probably between 3 and 3.5 stars for me in all actuality. The story was great and engrossing (I read it in one sitting). I just feel like I would have been more satisfied seeing the relationship grow between Wes and Brookelyn. I always feel like I'm missing something when a chapters starts with "weeks went by" or something of that nature. Also, I feel like the book could have used some more editing. There were little mistakes throughout the book, but nothing that drove me crazy to the point of putting the book down.

One more thing that I think felt a little off for me: (view spoiler)[ I liked that Brookelyn and Gabe got some closure, but I feel like there should have been something said between Gabe and Wes. Perhaps an apology? What was Gabe thinking when he threw Reese under the bus so to speak? I think I just wanted a little more closure on that end. Multiple POVs would have worked wonders for this book in my opinion. (hide spoiler)]

Here are some things I loved about the book:

1. The beginning of the book really grabbed my attention. I loved that the prologue's voice is unknown. You realize it is a guy but you don't know who.
2. I like that it starts out like it could be a love triangle story.....
3. Love Brookelyn's story (view spoiler)[ I feel like the abusive boyfriend (especially in college) plot is unique compared to some other NAs out there. (hide spoiler)]
4. Loved the secondary characters. I actually would love to read a story about Savanna---I felt like there could be more to her story. (view spoiler)[ Why is she attracted to those "wrong for you" guys?? (hide spoiler)]
5. Loved Brookelyn's pet name ---Wes wanted to be unique and he accomplished just that!

In all, wonderful debut novel from Taylor Wade. I will definitely be looking for books from her in the future. She is a talented writer, and I feel her stories will only improve. Thank you Wade for allowing me the opportunity to review your first book!
