This is the fourth book in Teresa Gabelman’s series the Protectors. The VC warriors have a difficult mission to protect humans and at the same time ensure the safety of their own people. Lana and Sid’s story continue that mission to keep both species safe.
Lana has a secret! It is both helpful and harmful at the same time. It is a gift that allows her to help save lives while she does her job. She is on a mission that is interrupted by a VC warrior. It's lust at first glance for Lana and Sid. Will Lana be able to look beyond the wisecracks and see the real Sid? Can she trust him with her special gift?
Sid is always into something and sometimes seems to be the bane of his VC brothers. When he is assigned the investigation of the human/hybrid problem, he decides it is time to be serious. Really, Sid, serious! He is following a lead when he stumbles onto what he thinks is a situation involving two women in trouble. The women are trying to find a lead on the human trafficking when they meet Sid and the sizzle begins. Will Sid be able to convince Lana to trust him and the VC warriors? Or will he lose her?
When the two start to work together, mysteries start to unravel and sexual tension explodes. Sid finds out that there is more to Lana than just the human female he wants. Lana unleashes her power and the warriors are not prepared for what happens.

Would I recommend this book: Yes. Don’t judge a book by its cover is so appropriate for this story. The relationship that is built between Sid and Lana uncovers that some humans are more. Hot sex, sexy vampires and unexpected love…what’s not to love?
Would I recommend this author: Yes. Teresa Gabelman uses humor, love and mystery to tell her stories. I cannot wait to read more by this remarkable author.
