it was ok
bookshelves: benicia

The writing style was a bit overwrought for my taste at times, so let's compare it to all the other books out there about the Great Molasses Flood, oh wait, there aren't any.

Ronnie Cramer Yes, this is the first and only book-length treatment of this subject--a fact that the author felt compelled to mention a half dozen times (before I stopped counting...facepalm). Otherwise decent.

Lis Carey Yes, no one else had ever written a real history of the Boston molasses flood, one of the city's major disasters, and one that happened in one of the city's most iconic neighborhoods. Whyever would the author be amazed by this and find it worthy of comment?
