Fairly simple, straight forward adventure novel with steampunk flair. Every character seemed to have the potential to be captivatingly interesting (aside from the main characters who were merely vehicles for meeting interesting people), but never completely grabbed my attention. The only thing that was strikingly innovative was the manipulation of history (as we know it). Made for a fun backdrop.

Overall, I don't have a lot to say because in the end the book didn't have a lot to say. Fun read, but kinda bland.
