EDIT:
SPOILERS: Guys, Maas did it again. I cannot deal, becuase this book was wonderful. Now, I will say that it was not nearly as good as all of the others, and a bit of a disappointment compared to HoF, but it was still epic. I love the way that Maas can have you expecting one thing to happen, but then something totally different happens instead. I love the way that she can completely whip something out of nowhere and leave you asking what the heck just happened. Aelin was in wicked ninja planning mode, Lysandra is apparently not as evil as she seems, and Aedion is apparently much more that he seems. Rowan is awesome, as always, and I will warn Chaolena shippers that your dreams end in tears. I'm still a little angry, but the new couple will shock some of you. I know I was surprised. The book was wonderful, and I will definitely love it forever. Be prepared for many tears and anger and then joy. Also, the end. THE END. ahh.

EDIT:
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN AMAZING SCENE AND MY KINDLE DIES. IM CRYING AND I CAN'T EVEN, AND ITS SO GOOD BUT *SPOILER ALERT* CHAOL AND HER FIGHT AND I'M CRYING AND NO AND EVERYONE AT MY SCHOOL THINKS I'M INSANE.

EDIT:
The book comes out tomorrow and I am just trying to ready myself for the unending pain and so many feels that will come with this QoS. I'm preparing for an all-nighter and a ridiculous book hangover. Forgive me, teachers, for I will be inconsolable Wednesday morning.

OH MY GOD THE COVER IS OUT AND I JUST CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

“Why don’t you get to the point,â€ she drawled. “I want to have a few hours of sleep tonight.â€ Not a lie. With every breath, exhaustion wrapped tighter around her bones.

“I would have thought, Arobynn said, “given how close you two were and your abilities, that you’d somehow be able to sense it. Or at least hear of it, considering what he was accused of.

The prick was enjoying every second of this. If Dorian was dead or hurt

Aelin looked northward, as if she could see all the way to Terrasen. 'Then it is not the end.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“I was not supposed to love you. The woman had said that—and then she died. She should not have loved him, and he should not have dared to love her. He deserved this darkness, and once the invisible boundary shattered and the waiting thing pounced, infiltrating and filling him â€ he’d have earned it.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“They were infinite. They were the beginning and the ending; they were eternity. The king standing before them gaped as the shield of flame died out to reveal Aelin and Dorian, hand in hand, glowing like newborn gods as their magic entwined.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas

“Her scent hit him. For a second, he could only breathe it deep into his lungs, his Fae instincts roaring that this was his family, this was his queen, this was Aelin. He would have known her even if he were blind. Even if there was another scent entwined with hers. Staggeringly powerful and ancient and—male. Interesting.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Ten years of shadows, but no longer. Light up the darkness, Majesty.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas

“Rowan’s head was still angled as he asked, “Your mothers were cousins, Prince, but who sired
²â´Ç³Ü?â€
Aedion lounged in his chair. “Does it matter?
“Do you know? Rowan pressed.
Aedion shrugged. “She never told me—or anyone.
“I’m guessing you have some idea? Aelin asked.
Rowan said, “He doesn’t look familiar to ²â´Ç³Ü?â€
“He looks like me.
“Yes, but—â€ He sighed. “You met his father. A few weeks ago. Gavriel”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“You deserve to be happy,â€ he said. And meant it. She deserved the joy he so often glimpsed on her face when Rowan was near—deserved the wicked laughter she shared with Aedion, the comfort and teasing with Lysandra. She deserved happiness, perhaps more than anyone.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Tell me that even if I lead us all to ruin, we’ll burn in hell together.'
'We’re not going to hell, Aelin,' he said. 'But wherever we go, we’ll go together.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Aelin took a step forward.
One step, as if in a daze.
She loosed a shuddering breath, and a small, whimpering noise came out of her - a sob.
And then she was sprinting down the alley, flying as though the winds themselves pushed at her heels.
She flung herself on the male, crashing into him hard enough that anyone else might have gone rocking back into the stone wall.
But the male grabbed her to him, his massive arms wrapping around her tightly and lifting her up. Nesryn made to approach, but Aedion stopped her with a hand on her arm.
Aelin was laughing as she cried, and the male was just holding her, his hooded head buried in her neck. As if he were breathing her in.
"Who is that?" Nesryn asked.
Aedion smiled. "Rowan.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“You survived; I survived. We’re together again. I once begged the gods to let me see you â€ if only for a moment. To see you and know you’d made it. Just once; that was all I ever hoped for.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Where will we go?"
"I hear hell is particularly nice at this time of year.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“She was the heir of fire. She was fire, and light, and ash, and embers. She was Aelin Fireheart, and she bowed for no one and nothing, save the crown that was hers by blood and survival and triumph.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“His name was Dorian.
Dorian Havillard, and he was the Crown Prince of Adarlan.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“She wondered whether the queen knew. Rowan did. Aedion did. And Arobynn did. He had understood that with Rowan, she was no longer afraid of him; with Rowan, Arobynn was now utterly unnecessary. Irrelevant.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Aelin Galathynius looked at Manon Blackbeak over their crossed swords and let out a low, vicious snarl.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“But they held tighter to each other, past and present and future; flickering between an ancient hall in a mountain castle perched above Orynth, a bridge suspended between glass towers, and another place, perfect and strange, where they had been crafted from stardust and light. A wall of night knocked them back. But they could not be contained. The darkness paused for breath. They erupted.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Maybe this city did deserve Aelin Galathynius’s flames. Maybe Chaol deserved to burn, too.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Dorian,' Aelin said, pain lancing down her spine as burnout neared.
He turned his head, an eye still on the wall of flickering flames. Such pain, and grief, and rage in those eyes. Yet, somehow, beneath it all - a spark of spirit. Of hope.
Aelin extended her hand - a question and an offer and a promise.
'To a better future,' she said.
'You came back,' he said, as if that were an answer.
They joined hands.
So the world ended.
And the next one began.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“And though he stood taller than her, he felt smaller as Aelin stared at him. No, not just Aelin. Queen Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, he realized, was staring at him.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“She dared a look at Rowan, whose face remained carefully blank, but saw the words there anyway. You wicked, clever fox. And here you were, thinking the red hair was just for vanity. I shall never doubt again.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Can I see it?"
She knew what he meant, and had held up her hands before her.
Ribbons and plumes and flowers of red and gold fire danced through his room, bright and glorious and elegant.
Chaol's eyes had been lined with silver when the flames winked out. "it's lovely," he said at last.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Hello, Sam," she breathed onto the river breeze.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“From tears to sass in a few minutes. I'm glad the month apart hasn't dimmed your usual good spirits.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“You’re a little taller than I’d imagined, but no one’s perfect.”
Sarah J. Maas, Queen of Shadows

Sarah J. Maas
“Aelin hissed, "Need I remind you Captain, that you went to Endovier and did not blink at the slaves and the mass graves? Need I remind you that I was starved and chained and you let Duke Perrington force me to the ground at Dorian's feet while you did nothing? And now you have the nerve to accuse me of not caring, when many of the people in this city have profited off the blood and misery of the very people you ignored?”
