Regular Response

Katniss really pisses me off. I want to like smack her across the face. I mean all she does is think about herself. She’s self centered, stubborn, and conceited. “Oh my god! I love Gale! But I love Peeta! Oh my god what am I gonna do? What am I gonna do!? Wa, wa, wa, wa! Why can’t she just drop dead? Seriously, her goal is to keep Peeta alive, doesn’t matter what happens to her, she’ll keep Peeta alive only. Let’s see where that got her. (not going to say.) She’s so inside her own little world, trying to get the Capitol to believe that there is something going on between her and Peeta; and planning who she’d have to kill next, that Katniss can’t even realize that everyone is actually been keeping her alive.

But then there’s the side of her that I kinda like. I mean, she volunteered for Prim during the reaping last year. She managed to keep Peeta alive. She gave out people food in her district. And she helped the two girls in the woods.

I don’t know how she can do it. Think about killing someone else. I mean I don’t exactly know what I’d do in Katniss shoes, but I don’t think I’d ever be able to kill someone or watch someone die in front of me. I’d probably just let myself get killed or kill myself. It’s too hard to live knowing that you could’ve saved someone from dying or taking someone’s life away with my own hands.
Katniss watched Rue die; she watched Madge and Wiress die too. She killed Cato with a bow and arrow. She is a very strong girl, if she can manage to live with all that going on. And having to loose her father at such a young age, I don’t know if I exactly hate her anymore, but I feel sympathetic towards her.

But Katniss can’t die! She just can’t! The book ends if she does drop dead, so I take that back. I really don’t want her to just drop dead.
