King has a true talent for treating her audience to a detailed look into the minds and souls of some very unusual characters and for “To Play the Fool� she reached deep into her bag of tricks and brought out a real gem. In this, the 2nd Kate Martinelli mystery, Kate has to go beyond her routine investigative skills to understand her prime suspect, a “Fool� who only speaks quotations.
