(A-) 83% | Very Good
Notes: Gaiman, like a chef savant boldly tossing supposedly dissonant ingredients into a pot, makes a heck of a tasty stew.

Gianfranco Mancini A really tasty one. Mt daughter loved it so much as a bedtime tale that I've read it to her something like 10 times this year and never got bored of re-reading it. Gaiman's magic :)

That's lovely to hear, Gianfranco! I agree, Gaiman's a singular talent :)

Liam Atkinson Is it illustrated by terry pratchet or Scottie young? I appreciate both of their art.

This one is illustrated by Scottie Young. I don't know that Terry Pratchett ever illustrated anything. The only other edition is done by Chris Riddell.

message 28: by L. (new)

L. McCoy I think he bases them on Canada grades not American grades (in other words, yeah he’s wrong).

Dude, I live in Canada. In Canada 83% is an A- not a B-.

Yes, lets. Though, I am cognizant that people are used to what they're used to, and will have difficulty accepting alternatives. Not just with books, but in all aspects of life.

Oh, why's that? this book's been out for ten years. Is it difficult to get or out of print where you are? or have you just not gotten to it but have been meaning to?

It's not available for sale here. I'd love a physical copy

Ah, I see. Can't blame you, I'd be envious too. Physical's the way to go for illustrated books :)
