really liked it

I have a lot of love for Lucian and Jane.

Their story was funny, full of banter, and I was here for the back and forth. I loved their push and pull. It was also emotional and sentimental. His backstory shattered my heart while hers ripped my soul apart. Somehow, they also managed to mend my broken heart and my tattered soul as they made it through their trip from hell.

I ate up all the times Lucian escorted her around London and Paris, giving her history lessons about all the places he took her to. Did I want to strangle him at times? Definitely. Did I find her a little crass sometimes? Absolutely. But the fact that they were comfortable being themselves was refreshing. She didn't filter herself, he didn't either. They were brutally honest, and it was honestly perfect for their story. I respected him more for never putting her down for not being rich, for accepting her just as she is. As for Jane, I adore her confidence, her heart, and the fact that she always remains true to herself.

The love letters were a huge plus. I've come to the realization that I will always be a sucker for written love letters - not simple texts or quick e-mails but actual written love letters. There was one in there that will live in my mind rent-free forever.

I HATED his father, but loved that he chose to be there for his family. I LOVED Charlie and her unshakeable bond with Jane. Mike was a wonderful character - he deserves applause.

Loved the subtle nod to the Ravenhood trilogy - makes me want to reread it.

I enjoyed spending time with Lucian and Jane both between the sheets and on the streets of London and Paris. They won me over. Their story will stay with me for a long time.
