Ivy (luvbug) I have just found this challenge so have quite a few books already read. I like the idea of reading just off of my shelves. The last time I counted there are 400+ books waiting on me to read...some I have gotten just this year but most of them have been sitting there for years waiting on me to say you next.

Ooh, I loved Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy! I hope you liked/loved them too :) Good luck with the challenge - you're already at #88!

message 12: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) There were a more that I had read that did not meet this challenge rules that I have read...they were ARCs that I have gotten from different places. Also read a couple of newer books with my granddaughters that couldn't go on this list. Went to a garage sale yesterday and picked up more books but I have put them on the bottom of the pile for now...

message 13: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) I did like the trilogy...I like Nora Roberts and have read a lot of her books over the years. I am not a big romance reader but her books just make romance seem like it isn't really a run of the mill romance...

message 14: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) In an effort to figure out how many books I really have on my TBR I have been listing. So far I have 329 listed and I still have to add the rest of my hardback books to have a more accurate count. When I am done I am going to try to get all of the same series together so I can see which ones I am missing before I start reading them.

message 15: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) I entered the last book this morning and have 442 books in house that need to be read. That does not count the ones on my kindle (600+ books). I will add the kindle books as I read them. I don't think that I will be running out of books to read for quite some time in the future. My only problem is that I keep adding to the pile when I find one that I am missing from a series I am reading or the book just calls my name. I am off to see if I can finish another book so I can start the next one.

I just bought The Inn at Rose Harbor for my MIL for Christmas. Did you enjoy reading it, Ivy?

I am not one of Macomber's biggest fans but I really liked this one. She has a way with the words that kept me reading...I had trouble putting it down which I don't usually have a problem reading her books.

Ivy (luvbug) 103. Royal Blood (Her Royal Spyess, #4) by Rhys Bowen
104. Panning For Murder (Murder, She Wrote, #28) by Jessica Fletcher

message 27: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) I have read a total of 113 books so far this year. 104 of those books qualified for this challenge. 9 were published this year so did not qualify. I had a lot of fun reading them and getting them off of my shelf. I am going to aim again for 100 books with the hope that I will again be able to meet this goal and hopefully surpass it.

message 28: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) I added another book to the don't fit this challenge pile.

Ask Aunt Emma a Third Time by Carol Costa. Good book, action kept right on coming. Read this one in two days because I couldn't put it down.

message 29: by Ivy (new)

Ivy (luvbug) 105. Murder Takes the Cake by Evelyn David This is going to be the last one for this year. I look forward to an even bigger reading year in 2013.

message 30: by Ivy (last edited Dec 31, 2012 09:02PM) (new)

Ivy (luvbug) 106. Key Lime Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke Didn't think I would be able to finish this one this year but I took the time this afternoon to finish it.

I read a total of 118 books this year, 106 met the rules for this challenge and 12 that did not meet the rules but I still had to read them.

I have already set up a place to post next years books. I am again aiming for 100 books with the hope that I will go over it...of course that all depends on how much time I have to read. Hope to see a lot of you here again next year.
