Tasha (tasha_avidbookaholic) | 85 comments This challenge can be done quarterly. (February 1- April 30)
You can crossover books from other challenges if you like. The only requirement is that the book was read in 2009.
You can either fill in your challenge and mark them off as you go or fill them in when you read a book that matches one of the criteria.

1.) A book with a "color" in the title:
2.) A book with an "animal" in its title:
3.) A book with a "first name" in its title:
4.) A book with a "place" (city/town/state/country) in its title:
5.) A book with a “building in its title:
6.) A book with a "plant/flower" in its title:
7.) A book with a “profession in its title:
8.) A book with a “time of day or "number" in its title:
9.) A book with a “relative in its title:
10.) A book with a “body part in its title:

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) What's the duration of this challenge? Is it for this month, next month, or the full year?

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) are we reading the books we list, or just listing books?

Great challenges there, wow!

message 5: by Tasha (new)

Tasha (tasha_avidbookaholic) | 85 comments We can do it within a year since there are so many other challenges going on at the moment.

BriansGirl wrote: are we reading the books we list, or just listing books?
Either way is fine, which ever your most comfortable with.

message 6: by ˥T (new)

˥T˥ (siddie) | 407 comments Or you could do this quarterly? Just a suggestion :)

Since a year is a LONG time :) hehe

message 7: by Tasha (new)

Tasha (tasha_avidbookaholic) | 85 comments Quarterly is fine too.

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) I think quarterly sounds good. Let's do it, I'm in!

message 9: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Tasha,

Go ahead and edit your first post to put the duration. That will help the participants a lot.

Quarterly seems to be the popular vote. Do you guys want to start this at Feb up to end of May? So you have three months to complete it?

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) OKay, I'm in. Can we use books from other challenges to fill in this one? I'm also on the A-Z Book and A-Z Author Challenges.

message 11: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Since this is Tasha's idea, I'm going to let Tasha set the rules for it. I'll just help out to facilitate if there are any questions.

Normally, I allow books to crossover challenges, but I'll wait for her to say its okay for this one.

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) That sounds like a plan YZ. Are we using books we've already read for this month( if they fit) or all new books?

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) When does the quarter end?

I love this series. I've read all of them twice and waiting for the latest to come out this month so I can check it out from the library. I put Aunt Dimity Slays the Dragon as my choice for a book with an animal in the title.

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) I've been meaning to add this to my cozy mysteries TBR but I haven't been reading alot of them as of late. I can't wait to start this series.

message 21: by Katya (Book Queen) (last edited Feb 06, 2009 10:34AM) (new)

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) It's light hearted fuzzy warm mysteries. lol Once I started I read right through the entire series in like two weeks. To feed my growing appetite for mysteries I then started reading the Pennyslvania Dutch Mysteries by Tamar Myers. They aren't bad, but after awhile, they wore on me a bit and finally I just quit reading them although I've read so many I should finish them. But it's the same as how I'm anxiously awaiting the next Aunt Dimity novel.

Lori (moderatrixlori) I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed by all the challenges but I'll take a stab at this one. There will be overlap with other challenges. That's the only way I can participate and not quit my job :)

9.) A book with a “relative in its title:
10.) A book with a “body part in its title:

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) Do you guys think blood could be considered a body part? I know I'll be reading a book with the word blood in the title soon... 3 that I can think of, in fact. :)

Or how about wings? If the wings in question are angel wings. They're part of that angel's body, right?

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I will admit body part was one of the hardest categories to fill for this one.

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) I just don't want to go hunting down books specifically to fill this challenge; I only want to use books already in my TBR or that I'm planning to read soon. Ya know?? It's tougher than I was expecting. :)

message 30: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I know what you mean, Nichole. Right now, I'm doing a pick and choose among the challenges, and finding those that can help me read books that are already in my TBR list....although I'm not exactly opposed to discovering new interesting books and authors.

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I hear ya Nichole. I did my best with my home library, even breaking out 40 year old romances from boxes stored in the basement. lol Where I needed to fill in the gaps (mostly in the A-Z challenges) I used the local library. I found an old out-of-print book by romantic suspense writer Carla Negger's Apple of My Eye to use. It's an old ectasy romance. When a friend was looking for a book, I suggested the free downloadable ebook (one of 16 Harlequin is giving away for it's 60th anniversary)... a Harlequin blaze novel Slow Hands that you can download here:
