So eventually the price could come down so people could buy a book in a shop and take it away on a one book only ereader. Disposable world strikes again.

People do that with audio books now

Is that not just replacing a shelf full of biodegradable relatively eco-friendly books with a shelf full of highly unfriendly and comparatively expensive plastic devices, not to mention loads of sets of AAA batteries. Hardly a step forward!

I remember the disposable argument being used for mobile phones at one point.
