I don't know if political statements are allowed here, but I want tonight to thank my British friends for a perfect phrase to describe what Mitt Romney looked like at the end of the Presidential debate tonight: he had a face liked a slapped arse. (I first heard that in an episode of Trial and Tribulation I saw a few months ago.)

Ha - thanks for that one, Andrew :)Katie - you never know with those bulldogs. They have evocative faces even when they're not doing that.
Dare I say it - my mother in law comes to mind. There it's said. We say thistle though not nettle and in Wales they say has a face like a slapped dap.

Hi Paul, its a welsh expression for the old fashioned plimsoll (don't think trainers) the old black thin ones are daps.

The barmaid in the Pheasant just had a spot of bother with a customer and she unleashed one of those killer looks. Where do women learn to do that?It scared the crap out of me and I was nothing to do with it.
