Woo hoo! I'm excited about this challenge. I just went and counted...almost halfway through this list. It is totally possible for me to complete this list next year. First completed reading list ever?? I'm thinking happy dance, haha.

I think I might go for the whole thing too!

I've read 60 of them. I would love to do this, because I will tackle more books from the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list at the same time! The only thing stopping me from completing it would be James Joyce's Ulysses...UGH. We would have to do a Buddy Read for sure!

I have a couple of them slated to read before the end of the year, so I will post my actual goal as we get closer.

UPDATED: I have read 50 and have all but two of the rest on my TBR list (sorry but I just can't do Twilight or The Notebook). Maybe I will start small (one a month) and up my goal if I get close.

Obviously, I had a mispent youth reading Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys rather than the classics of literature. :)

I have read 28 of them. I will definitely participate on this challenge, but I´ll have to think about how many..

I love this challenge! I've read only 19 of these books (gasp!); I think I'll try for 40 next year (so my goal for 2013 would be 21). Not sure yet, I'll finalize later.

I'm at 31 ... I'll have to look it over more closely see how many I want to read

That's a good point about Ulysses, Kelsi. Hmm.

I've read 71 of them but will have two more done by the end of the year. I know I can get through 26 of the remaining 27, but oh, Ulysses would be a huge pain.

I've only read 46 of them (I am a little disappointed in my librarian self!)

I think I will definitely go for all 100 done by the end of next year, so!

Make sure you actually go through the list in case you've read a different edition or if you recorded a set instead of the individual book. My disappointing 6 got bumped up to a still disappointing 15. I'll take it slow like and start at one a month.

Very good point, Kai! I had to do that too. And there were books I read a long, long time ago that I hadn't put on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, so I needed to adjust my number for those as well.

My number is sad - only 19 read from the list. Almost every other one had already been marked Want To Read though lol.

Well, sadly I only have 13 of the hundred marked as read. I have read several of the books listed years ago as either a child or in school, so I am not marking them as completed since I really have no remembrance of them. So for 2013 I will attempt to knock out as many off the list as possible.

I've read 25 books on the list. Think I will set my goal at 50 but I will confirm as I have a couple of the books marked to read this year.

I've only read 17! I'm ashamed.

I'm going to go for all 83 that I haven't read. I'm really going to challenge myself this year and try and catch up on everything that I've missed out on. I might try and read a few before the year is up to lower my number, since I still have slots to fill for this year.

edit: As I was copying the list down in Excel I realized I had read a few more that I just didn't have in my "read" list, so I edited accordingly. ^.^

I've read 11 of them. I'll just try to read 10 of them in 2013. I've been "trying" to read a bunch of these for years but find one reason or another not to so I'm going to be very conservative in my goal. Maybe I'll surprise myself and complete it!

I guess I'm pretty average, I've read 29 of them. ;) I might go for the whole list, but there are some books I have no intention of reading ever (like the Twilight books, the Hunger Games etc), but I think I'll join anyway. Who is excited for the Buddy Read of Ulysses in 2013?! I'm not, but it will be the biggest obstacle to completing this list. I'm thinking earlier rather than later..

I have so far read only a very shameful 15, although I am currently reading one so that will put me up to 16 by the end of 2012! I am going to challenge myself to read 10 more. Hopefully some are done as Buddy Reads as a lot of them dont interest me enough to pick up by myself!

It isnt official, but I have a feeling there are a few of us who will not tackle it without someone else struggling along too. ha! it is my Everest!

I'm all about doing Ulysses as a Buddy Read, haha. I may not get it read otherwise!

Haha, I will be more than happy to buddy read with you on any one of those books. Most of them are not in my comfort zone either. We can tackle them together! When you figure out which 10 you'd most like to read, let me know and we'll come up with a buddy read schedule. :)

I think Feb-March should be a good time period! and a two month one for sure!

I'm embarrassed at how few I've read, I have a bunch on my to read list though, so I'm hoping to get a few more read this year!

I would be interest in Buddy reads too...especially if Ulysses is offered. It is like that book sits on my bookshelf just daring me to attempt reading it! :)

I am in to read at least 10 more of the books found on this list. After looking over the list, I realized that I had only read 4 of them and all a long time ago. Most of the newer books are not really in my typical enjoyment reading styles. I am much more into non-fiction and historical fiction. So hopefully I can actually get through ten of these books this year. Good Luck to the rest of you.
