Looking for a happy funny romcom novel

Hey peeps! I'm new to goodreads, so please do forgive any rookie mistakes that I may be found guilty of. I'm looking for suggestions on a happy romcom with a generous amount of humour in it. I'm a guy, so preferably not a book seen as your typical chicklit...and nothing too farce or littered with countless pages of erotica please? Haha.
Thanks a bunch in advance peeps.

If you are looking for a romcom with sf flavour how about: To say nothing of the dog, Bellwether or Blue Moon all by Connie Willis. The last one is a short story. Or, keeping to Gaiman's books, Stardust.
Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson. Wonderful writing, unique, believable characters, and as funny as anything I've read in parts. Not chick lit either, which I hate, even though I am a human female!

Go for Mike Gayle then - he's got the guy's point of view :)
