Thank you I am enjoying it and I'm trying to combine it with the genre challenge this month. Apart from Agatha Christie (an old time favourite) they've been authors I've never read before.

Jayne | 112 comments O book - 1984 by George Orwell

message 12: by Jayne (new)

Jayne | 112 comments Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro .
Fantastic book but it's left me feeling a bit empty. Need something cheerful for my next read.

Jayne | 112 comments Being in bed with a cold means I have a lot of reading time. Just read The Genesis Secret - along the lines of a Dan Brown. It was gruesome in places but I found the main characters likeable unlike the Da Vinci Code.

Jayne | 112 comments Just finished Bedsit Disco Queen: How I Grew Up and Tried to Be a Pop Star by my favourite ever singer. I loved it.

message 15: by Andrew (new)

Andrew | 1005 comments Great choices Jane, Tracy Thorne was on Front row a few weeks ago and came across as a really normal woman with a great story to tell, I think i'll put it as a to be read. I loved Never let me go although it was really sad, I really liked the film as well which is unusual as often films don't live up to the books.

Jayne | 112 comments I'm going to the Laugharne festival next month where she's appearing to discuss her book. I'm really looking forward to it.

Loved EBTG and Tracy Thorne's last offering was great. By coincidence had to play Oh The Divorces on repeat a few times yesterday in the car as I was loving her voice so much. Will have to check out books.

message 18: by Jayne (new)

Jayne | 112 comments I had this album and her first solo one (A Distant Shore) on repeat yesterday as I was reading. She really does have an incredible voice.

message 19: by Jayne (new)

Jayne | 112 comments Just finished Winter in Madrid by C.J. Sansom .

message 23: by Jayne (new)

Jayne | 112 comments Finally got another new letter. Who knew it would take so long to get L - The Giver (The Giver Quartet, #1) by Lois Lowry .

message 24: by Ian, Moderator (new)

Ian (pepecan) | 5518 comments Mod
