I finished reading Easy by Tammara Webber --my first PIFM book this month-- Wednesday night and LOVED it. I had a hard time putting it down and read it in a 2-day period. Thanks for the great pick.

message 354: by Inge (new)

Inge Skandia,

Just finished Me Before You and LOVED it! Couldn't stop crying by the last three chapters, but I really needed a good cry. It's a sweet, realistic, funny and emotional love story. Thanks for pushing me to read it, became an instant favorite!

I finished Borrowed Time by Edie Claire
It was good but not as good as the other two you recommended that I read last week.
If you haven't read it yet...I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.

Nancy, I finished Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour, #1) by Olivia Cunning . I must admit that I didn't enjoy it. I was more lusty sex than true romance but I'm glad I tried it after hearing so much about it. I think I don't like groupie stories (sports, bikers, etc). But I will try Sinners 2 to see if it gets better for me.

Thank you for this book recommendation.

message 377: by Skandia (new)

Skandia (sfgirl) | 972 comments I finished my first pick The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks . This was an ok read, 3 stars, but feels like reading the same story by Nicholas Sparks all over again. His style and settings are so similar that the books seem to blend in one.

A glad you liked Dragonfly In Amber :)

I can start E&P whenever you want - how about tomorrow? Do you want to just PM each other when we are done or start a buddy read thread?

message 380: by Katie (new)

Katie | 2083 comments Hey Brandilyn --

I finished up But for You today. I'm a big fan of Mary Calmes, but I wish it had all gone down a little differently...maybe for the book to be a little more exciting. Overall, though, still an enjoyable story! 3 stars.

message 381: by Hina (new)

Hina (hinaj) | 2581 comments Hi Kristi

I have been having problems with my internet at home, and I have been just too busy at work to update as much as I can. So now here I am doing all of them at once.

I have read: Lucky in Love (Lucky Harbor, #4) by Jill Shalvis which I absolutely love love. I want to go back and read it one more time. But I also want to read the next one in the series. 5 Stars!

The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro, #1) by Nora Roberts was really good, but I rarely have had a book from Nora Roberts that I didn't fall in love with and I just love all the brothers and can't wait to read about Owen and Ryder. (4 stars)

The Promise of Love by Lori Foster was good as well, some stories I just loved and others were meh... (4 Stars)

The Diamonds of Welbourne Manor Justine and the Noble Viscount \ Annalise and the Scandalous Rake \ Charlotte and the Wicked Lord (Harlequin Historical) by Diane Gaston was good as well, I have read the last book in the series like a year or two ago and now after reading this one, the other books makes better sense, so I might read everything in order. (4 Stars)

If I get a chance, I will try to squeeze in some more books from the list, probably Rescue My Heart (Animal Magnetism, #3) by Jill Shalvis

Thanks for the recs! Congrats to all the finishers

message 382: by Ty (new)

Ty | 1943 comments My PIFM books since the last update:

Round Ireland with a Fridge - amusing, but not as LOL as I was expecting. Maybe because it was lost in translation from Brit/Irish humor vs across the pond type humor. Either way, still a nice read

Naked in Death - promising start to the series, will continue it, despite the annoying Nora-isms. would like to see more development btwn Eve/Roarke (of course!). Listened to the audio for the first 75%, read the last. While the narrator wasn't bad, I kept wondering how Robert Petkoff could've done the Irish accent...

Thanks for the recs, Dee!

done:
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks Naked in Death (In Death, #1) by J.D. Robb

Finished Love Irresistibly a few days ago! I loved it (well, I kinda knew even before I read it because Julie James is truly spectacular!) I rated it 5 stars. Right now, I'm reading Beautiful Bastard. I'm almost done actually, since I started it a few days ago (I was in Beijing and GR is not accesible there... BOO)

I have to admit when I first read DFiA, i didn't enjoy it all that much - it wasn't until I did a re-read/re-listen a few years ago, that I realized how much the story it in influenced the later books

Jane (PS) | 24029 comments Jojo - I finished Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley - really fun cute romp! I'm so pleased I have now finally read a book by this author. I'll either try The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley or Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley by her next, not necessarily this month.

In the meantime, I've started Tattoos & Teacups by Anna Martin :)

message 399: by SandyC (new)

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1287 comments I can't remember if I posted this or not... but I finished a second pick, Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward . I didn't get as much Qhuinn and Blay as I expected, but I did like their story. The book had way too many POVs and storylines, though. Still, I'll always pick up a new BDB book!
