Task #3 - Random Genre

I will randomly assigned the following twelve (12) genres to a corresponding number.
Contemporary Romance
Fantasy
Historical Fiction
Historical Romance
History
Horror
Mystery/Cozy
Mystery/Thriller
Non-Fiction
Urban Fantasy
Women's Fiction
Young Adult
Go to:
and roll one or two dice.

Come back to this thread and tell me the number you rolled and I'll tell you the genre a member (any member) of your Team needs to read this month.

I will reassign the genre before each Team request.

Yes, if a member has already read that genre, you may count it.

You may NOT use books used in other November tasks.

Any books 160 pages or greater, finished between November 1 - 23, 2013.

Classification will be by the top five most popular 'tags' - according to GRs members.

You will be granted one (1) BAP.

You have until the 23rd of November to earn this point. (Or the end of the TTRC, which looks like November 17th, according to the poll in the "sister" group.)

Until the next surprise.

Post finished task here.

Task #4 - Random Bookcover (Color or Item)

This task like the Random Genre in that I will randomly assigned numbers to all seventeen (17) Teams, as I did with the 12 genres. However, each Team has a corresponding predominant color or item to find on the cover, for what your Team needs to search.
This is an either/or challenge. You only have to read one book that qualifies for either the ITEM - or the COLOR of the Team you are assigned.

For predominant color book, it needs to be the edition the Team Member actually read.

However, if it is an item on the cover, then you may post the actual bookcover and the alternate one (different edition) in which you found the item .

If you get your own Team number, I will roll/reassign again.

If you can't see the picture chart, refer to list under this spoiler: (view spoiler)
Go to:
and roll two or three dice.

Come back to this thread and tell me the number you rolled and I'll tell you the Team Item/Color a member (any member) of your Team needs to read this month.

I will reassign the Team/Color/Item before each Team request.

Yes, if a member has already read a bookcover that works, you may count it.

You may NOT use books used in other November tasks.

Any books 160 pages or greater, finished between November 1 - 23, 2013.

You will be granted two (2) BAPs.

You have until the 23rd of November to earn this point. (Or the end of the TTRC, which looks like November 17th, according to the poll in the "sister" group.)

Until the next surprise.

Post finished task here.

Task #5 - Novella/Short Story

There are less than seventy-four hours until the last Sunday Update!

For Task #5, I will give you a different kind of mission. One that could create quite a quandary, but will bring a large reward: Five (5) BAPs!
â— Reading novellas or short stories, spell out:
N.
B.
R.
C.

N.
I.
N.
J.
A.
The twist is you may NOT apply a book larger than 160 pages, and thus they may NOT be “tagged towards your TTRC.

EXCEPTION: They may be in an anthology; this is the only way you may “tag the completed book, if you do finish the whole book. However, you are NOT required to read the whole book if you use an anthology. Nevertheless, you must use the titles, etc., of the stories within the anthology to do the spelling.

Short stories must be greater than 10 pages. (view spoiler)

The same rules as prior Spell-It-Outs apply. (view spoiler)

They may all be done by one Team Member, or all nine read by different Team Members, it matters not to me.

Yes, if a short story or novella has been read/finished on November 1st or after, you may apply it.

 You have until Sunday, November 17th, 9:00 a.m. - or to finish/post Task #5.
Decisions, decisions.

WHATEVER will you do?!!

Until the next surprise.

Post finished task here.

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments OK, for the final task, 3 N's, a R and a J left.

I know I'll be reading two dresden shorties, and a werewolf one, which will take care of a N, a R and a J.

And I'll be perusing my anthologies and kindle freebies to see which more I can use... since you all are contributing to full books, I'll try to knock the 6 BAP :)

Continuing on with the TTRC...

For those of you who want to finish what you started, we are leaving the Tower Team Reading Challenges threads, the "sister group," and Team Home Page Challenges open.

Some of you want to finish your Team Mini Challenges for November; some want to see what they can do towards reaching 1,350 (with or without BAPs); others want to go until the end of the year; and die-hards want to go until April, 2014!

Whatever you decide, as an individual Team or Team Member basis, is completely up to you. Even if you are the only Team Member interested in continuing, we're sure the other Teams will interact with you.

We, the Mods and Captain Paige, will do an informal update once a month.

Whatever you decided, remember to have fun! There will be much less pressure, definitely.

As far as Round III, we do NOT know when it will start, but it will NOT be in January. For the next Team Challenge, the other Mods want to do some type of board game that will last anywhere from one to several months.

Cool!

I'll be around here, trying to keep the mini-challenges and talk about great books as long as nobody kicks me out!
