I am participating in a Buddy Read with some people from Leather Jacket Black and Mango Tango (they will be posting the Buddy Read on the NBRC folder, as required by the 7in7 challenge), however, that's just one book. So, if I read that one book then does that mean someone else MUST participate in a buddy read so we get credit for 7 reads for that category? See, this is one area I get really confused on when I try to sort this thing out in my head.
So, if the answer that question is Yes and nobody wants to do a buddy read for whatever reason, AND I dn't want to read 6 more buddy reads then we don't get credit for my one buddy read, right? So it's pointless for me to even consider it, in that situation? Because we can't just mix and match 1 buddy read and pick up 6 books in another category...right?
Okay, that's it for now. I'll focus on my personal summer plan some more and then later see if any of it fits this 7 in 7 thing.

you do realize you are in the mods team, right?
So the odds of having more members participating on the BOM's and Buddy Reads are looking good I'd say
*giggles*
I didn't have the time yet to analyse point by point on the challenge. And won't be looking seriously before friday night - work project from hell just reached another notch on Dante's scale
But I'm willing to help as Jackie. We'll have to break through all the steps and see which ones are compatible with our reading plans and which ones will require some planning

I'm not going to stress out anymore but I will refrain from trying to think for a few more days, haha.

Cat#1 - 1, but probably could find more
Cat#5 - 7 - Letters T, T, S, E, D, C, L
Cat#6 - 4 from the Spell-it-out
Cat#7 - 6 at least
Didn't look at Cat#2 & 3 because of not knowing colors.

I saw your post in Pewter Blue. LOL! I guess the Captains are going to have to pick a Team and decide which one we'll post in over in the "sister group."
That is, if you all like the idea that Steven did, with seven reserved spots???

OK going to start a list of who says they can read what for each category.

OK here's some books I plan on reading very soon if anyone wants to do a buddy read with me:

or feel free to look at my to-read-shelf and suggest something and I'll see if I can work it into my other challenges.

OK going to start a list of who says they can read what for e..."
Not at all! My toes are just fine (except when the kitten bites them, LOL)! I am very happy to have you here to help out, hehe. I'm so focused on trying to get my summer challenge done (typing it up in a document right now!) and next comes making a list of books I plan to read so after that I will try to wrap my brain around the challenge. You feel free to take charge and make threads and do whatever you desire, hehe!

Please if you want to do the spell it out challenge but can't do anything with the letters left open-post what letters you can do. I know I can do different letters if needed and others might be able to switch as well.
SOME CHANGES and an EXAMPLE:
The letters “N.B.R.C. have been added to Category #5.
md, from Cerulean (AKA “Hobbit Blue) provided this example, which I tweaked a bit to include an example of a series name and to include the newly added letters.
You're not allowed to reuse a letter and since “N.B.R.C. T.O.W.E.R. T.E.A.M.S. R.E.A.D.I.N.G. C.H.A.L.L.E.N.G.E. only has two letter 'T's in it that's all your allowed to have. We couldn’t read 7 books that qualified for the letter 'T,' we'd have to pick another letter.
For example:
B - The Bridgertons #4 - Romancing Mister Bridgerton
T - The Da Vinci Code
O - The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje
W - Where'd You Go, Bernadette
T - Tom's Midnight Garden
E - Everything is Illuminated
M - Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
We've completed challenge #5 because we've read 7 books (and used 7 letters).
If we wanted to do this challenge again instead of doing one of the others (say #4) we can do so; but, we can only choose from the letters we haven't used already.
In this example it would be: “N.R.C E.R. A.S. R.E.A.D.I.N.G. C.H.A.L.L.E.N.G.E.
We're allowed to do it a 3rd time, but we would only be able to choose from the letters that are remaining.
The letter 'E' appears 5 times so that would mean there could be 5 books that qualify for that letter and the remaining 2 books would have to be another letter.

But, if that's the only challenge someone else feels that they can do please post what letters you can do. I'm sure someone can move their books to something else. I know I could. Plus you never know when real life will keep someone from reading what they had planned.

Thanks: 7%Finishedbooks
Pewter Blue/Cadet Blue, pick which one of you you want to use for the 7% Solution Ahead/Behind and stick with it for the end of June update, too.

I'm going to get off of ŷ and go do what the little boy's shoes say!! Well, that and laundry... and whatever else comes up before I have to go to work. *sigh*

I finish it too wohoo 4 books read this month (3 during RaT week)
We didn't know if you made a final decision on this or not, so we are just advising you:
Due to the difficulty of finding mauve, lime, tangerine (orange), and bronze, we will allow those colors to appear in titles. Or where the color "pops."
Acceptable Examples: (color respective to above order)
IN ADDITION:
Since Atomic Tangerine is such a difficulty color to find, even in the title of a book, we will allow Orange Prize books to be counted for this color.
Orange Prize for Fiction Winners
The Orange Prize for Fiction is one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious literary prizes, awarded annually for the best original full-length novel by a female author of any nationality, written in English and published in the UK in the preceding year.

Since Pewter & Cadet Blue are joining forces for the 7% Solution Challenge, we have selected those members to create our combined Team.
Anyone can see them on the second page of the Spreadsheet entitled "Pewter/Cadet Blue 7% Challenge Members."
This doesn't effect Category #1 - "Behind Enemy Lines." Doesn't really affect #2 & #3 - "ahead" and "behind" - either. This is more of an FYI for you.

I just discovered a big pile of books in a box that I've had by my fireplace for years, lol. I just never felt like digging around in the box. I found a few authors that I bought from a thrift store back when I lived in England (think 2005 or so, shhh) and they are authors I've been wanting to read! Yay, me!!
Then, I had a treasure hunt on the bookshelf in my garage. I came away dusty and full of sneezes, but also with about 4 plastic bags full of books I will find room for in my bedroom, hehehe. Most of them are books I've never even read. I'm terrible. I have a bazillion books at home and yet I still need weekly library visits to feel human, LOL!!

I'm jealous and seeing green
but happy for your lovely trove
of your book-filled scene!

And that name makes me hungry all the time, LOL!!
Makes me wonder if my user name makes people crave baked goods ever...
Ahhh, the ponderings of a sleepy mind...

to keep up with all the rhyme...
Oh dear lord, I must go to bed,
have you seen the time!?
