Watching my young grandchildren, I am struck by how they are learning to use their senses to understand this new (to them) world they live in.

In their honor, choose two different options from the list below. Read a book for each that has one of the listed words in its title or subtitle.

1. "Sense"
2. "Sight" or "eye"
3. "Sound" or "ear"
4. "Smell" or "nose"
5. "Taste" or "tongue"
6. "Touch" or "skin"

Plurals and possessives work, but no other variations.

For example: You could read Grave Sight and Skin Tight (options 1 and 5), but NOT Grave Sight and The Bluest Eye (both option 1). Books that have two or more of the listed words may be claimed for any option that works. For example, Nose Down, Eyes Up, could be claimed or option 3 (nose) or 1 (eyes). You may pair books with more than one listed word with any option you have not already claimed. So, if you claim Nose Down, Eyes Up for option 3 (nose) you could pair it with The Bluest Eye (option 1).

Required: State the options you used when you post.

Christine PNW (moonlight_reader) | 33 comments So, since possessives & plurals are the only variations allowed, this: Touched is a no go?

That is correct, sorry no Touched

Darn! I already own it. :)

Andy Plonka (plonkaac) | 4194 comments Chaitra. Your first two books will work , but not the third. You need two different options and only the exact words under each option will work. You may, however use possessives or plurals. So whispering doesn't work.

Mind's Eye this would work for option 2, right?

Both titles will work. Enjoy.

Sound of Blood - Lawrence De Maria for Sound?"

That will work."

Andy's on vacation and I just realized I'm supposed to be answering questions for her! ;-)

the widow's touch appears to be a Kindle novella. If it passes for page count in the eBook only verification thread, the title will work for option 6.

I want to rediscuss Touched, because the subtitle is "Sense Thieves #1), so I think it maybe actually does qualify.

Recheck?

(Sense Thieves #1) is a series title, not a subtitle. Series titles must be explicitly included in the task description in order for them to work. So, no, sorry, Touched won't work.

Yeah! And thanks for the quick reply"

There is an additional clarification that I need to mention. The plural refers to touches as a noun
so for example, His touches make her shiver works but, When he touches her she shivers does not because touches is a verb in this case and he is singular so touches is not a plural in this case.

Andy Plonka (plonkaac) | 4194 comments The task requires that the word be touch(s) (as a plural noun) or touch only. Sorry!
