1. House of Stone A Memoir of Home, Family, and a Lost Middle East by Anthony Shadid by Anthony Shadid Anthony Shadid
Finish Date: June 12 2013
Genre: History
Rating A:
The House of Stone is written by Anthony Shadid, a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter for the New York Times. The book chronicles Shadid’s trials, tribulations and joys as he rebuilds his Great Grandfather’s home in Southern Lebanon. While telling this story, he traces his family’s flight from Lebanon into the Middle East and provides profound insight into Middle Eastern Culture.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Although it is a factual story, it reads like a great Novel. I would highly recommend it to anybody interested in the history of the Middle East

Alisa (mstaz) Steve, use the 'add book/author' feature that appears just above the comment box to insert the book cover, author photo (where available), and author hyperlink. The sample in message 1 above is how it should appear. Let us know if you need more instruction. It is part of the required format but is quite easy once you learn how to do it.

Alisa (mstaz) Looks great. Oh, bold the month header. You only need to do it for the first book in any given month. Good job!

You are doing great Steve and yes it does. But bold the month header above - and each month you enter it.

So you have June 2013 - it should look like June 2013

Black List (Scot Harvath, #11) by Brad Thor by Brad Thor|5088]

Counterterrorism expert Scott Harvath has made a career out of escaping from harrowing situations and killing bad guys. However, he faces his biggest challenge yet when his name is placed on the United States Government’s Secret Black List. This means one thing: Somebody wants him dead. While trying to Evade assassination, Harvath tries to figure who has targeted him and why. He soon discovers that he must find this person quickly or the United States will suffer one of the worst terrorist attack every conceived.

The publishers describe this book as an “Intense, page turning novel that is action paced and frighteningly real. I would agree with this description. I could not put the book down.
