Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments It just so happened that I read a Russell Blake, then a Blake Crouch and I was wondering what to read next, perhaps an Agatha Raisin, as I didn't know what I fancied and I noticed a link, so I thought "What about doing the alphabet. After Agatha, I forgot about it, but then realised I was reading Moon Dance. So alphabet here I come. I shall list what I have read so far in the next post.

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments And I am now on Ordinary Angels by India Drummond

I think that my choices are rather varied.
Cosy / action / thriller / vampires / regency romance / motor racing / horror / anthology / paranormal romance :)

So lets get on with the reading (and catching up on my reviewing)

Oh and so far they are all 4 out of 5 star books.

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Doing well Joo!

(I had to give up with Ordinary Angels literally pages into it - couldn't stand it)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments Thanks

I'm reading it now, I think it's a decent chick-litty type of trashy throwaway summer read.

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I quite enjoyed Ordinary Angels by India Drummond
It had a bit of a mystery in it. Not too much romance for me.

Now onto J and I chose something from an author who I seem to be collecting lots of freebies, but haven't tried one yet.
The List by J.A. Konrath
It is a technothriller and is good, so I'm glad I've been collecting this author.

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I finished The List by J.A. Konrath . 4*
I quite enjoyed it.

Then onto K and I chose Roger Knowles Broken Cats & Cowboy Hats by Roger Knowles . It's quite bleak.

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments K was Broken Cats & Cowboy Hats by Roger Knowles 4*

L was Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Sausages by Tom Holt 3*
I quite like Tom Holt's surrealness and this was up there, but my attention was drifting and I jumped to the Ms before finishing.

M was Faust 2.0 (Morton & Mitchell #1) by Michael Brookes 5*
This was a very intriguing story about a demon who infects the internet.

I was desperate to get to O so needed a quickie

N was Nowhere To Go by Iain Rowan 3*
This was a collection of shorts and most of them were pretty good, but I skipped over more than one.

So now to O and a very tenuous link as the O word is "of" :)

Queen of Scots Mystery by Cecilia Peartree. Who is always a bit slow in adding her books to Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ ;p

message 9: by Joo (new)

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments I cheated a bit as my "O" became a "Q" as I didn't fancy anything there, so

O was One Glass Is Never Enough by Jane Wenham-Jones 3*
This was a chick lit book about 3 women who open a wine bar.

P was Plague by Lisa C. Hinsley 4*
This was quite interesting in that a plague has hit and one family is boarded into their house and die. Honest, it's better than my précis :)

Q was the superb Queen of Scots by Cecilia Peartree. I love these books so it's a five star from me.

R was Call Me by Dani Ripper 3*
Another John Locke book, but with different characters. I keep going back to him as the books are very easy reads.

S was Sweetheart in High Heels (A High Heels Mystery, #5.5) by Gemma Halliday 3*
Another easy (and short) read.

T was With A Twist - A Lt. Jack Daniels Locked Room Mystery Short Story by J.A. Konrath 3*
I seem to have a lot of this author's books, so thought I'd sample a short one to see if I liked it and I do.

And now I'm getting into the tricky part of the alphabet.

Joo (jooo) | 1351 comments U was The Uneven Passage of Time 4*
An interesting trio of time travel short stories.

V was Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler 3*
Tales from Chelsea Handler

W was The Philanthropist's Danse by Paul Wornham 5*
I really enjoyed this. 12 people have to decide amongst themselves how they are going to divide a fortune.

X was The Sex Club by L.J. Sellers 4*
This wasn't as seedy as I expected from the book title. I read it in one day.

Y is The Bull Years by Phil Stern
It's OK so far.

I assume Z will be a zombie book and I will finish my challenge by day after tomorrow. So that will be 26 books in about 33 days. Yay for sunny holidays.
