Anna (lilfox) | 96 comments What about Herta Müller's Hunger und Seide? Author was born in Romania and had spent childhood and youth there.

Alina-Diana Välinen | 1 comments i'm a big fan of detective novels, so for those interested, i suggest rodica ojog-brasoveanu, our agatha christie:) i'm sure they must have translated something of hers.

also, the literature written between the two world wars: camil petrescu, george calinescu, liviu rebreanu, mircea eliade. i was crazy about these guys in school.

have you tried mircea cartarescu and stelian tanase? these are the latest i've read. have been trying finnish literature of late:)

Hadrian (hadrian_gr) Maybe you could try something by Ionesco.
