Labeling a book as a series

name of book (series name, # place in series)
For example,

The Great Succession Crisis (Peers of Beinan, #1)
the second book has #2, etc.

I absolutely mention the series every time.
Here's the blurb for the book I just posted about (sorry about the separate posts; I'm low vision and sometimes miss stuff):
The Great Succession Crisis is the subtle coming-of-age story of Princess Anlei. Groomed from birth to become queen after her mother, Anlei begins as a cold and irreverent adolescent keenly aware of the harsh realities of gender politics in the feudal monarchy into which she was born.

Book one of the Peers of Beinan series.

About the series:
If you love history, science, adventure, mystery, romance, and truly original stories, you cannot do better than the Peers of Beinan series. This data-grounded series filled with heraldry draws upon the real experiences of medieval royals and nobles in their pursuit of power, love, and happiness.
The Peers of Beinan is structured as a series of trilogies, all centering on Beinarian society both before and after the "Great Migration" to planet Beinan, astronomically known as B345A15 Quartus.
The Anlei's Legacy arc consists of:
The Great Succession Crisis (revised and extended editions)
The Ghosts of the Past
Princess Anyu Returns
...
I think you get the idea.
As for the clutter: you don't need the series information to be very large on the title. Look at my cover it: it's the smallest font used.
Of course for that to work well you have to include that series name in the actual description because it is way too small to see on a thumbnail.

As a reader, I don't mind the series not being mentioned on the cover, but if I cannot find ANY information in/on the book that tells me the book is a part of (or which number it is in) the series, that drives me crazy. I hate reading series out of order.

I also put the series name on the front cover and came up with a logo as well. I also put the number of the book in the series on the spine.

I don't use a logo per se. I think my heraldry serves the same purpose. Each book has the heraldry of the three most important houses for that particular story. :)

The next one will be Surviving the Fog-Douglas Lives.

Personally, I have my book on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ labeled as a series, but nowhere else. I'm not sure if it's made any real difference. The book itself doesn't mention it's part of the series until the end where there's a preview of the next book.
Just wanting to see some thoughts from other authors about the pros and cons of adding series information. I just feel like it would look too cluttered if I put it in the front cover like I've seen some people do.
